This toddler room was designed under two guidelines: to have a boho-fun vibe and to execute it within a sensitive budget, as is a rented accomodation. The first was achieved with a carefully selected colour palette in walls and fabrics and the latter, through Ikea functional pieces each one with a personal twist.
FROM STORAGE BASEMENT TO COZY HOME
235 m2, Sabah Al Salem, Kuwait
This family villa in Sabah Al Salem had to make space for a new young couple but could not grow in height anymore, and the only available space was a run down basement. The couple had already some floorplan proposals to make the basement habitable but nothing was convincing them. Together we designed their dream home allowing the light to flow inside the basement and making the space their own.
FROM BASEMENT TO FAMILY GYM
380 m2, Abu Futeira, Kuwait
The family living in this villa wanted to transform a storage space into a "feel-good" gym where they could train either alone or with friends and be able to bring their own private trainer to a fun place where all the equipment would be ready to use. The challenge was to work around the existing pillars, the existing drainage system and use the natural light smartly.
